STARDOM has its price.

In Salman Khan's case, his wallet, sunglasses and a pendant seen in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The actor was at a Bandra nightclub last week when four girls approached him and introduced themselves as fans. According to sources close to Khan, the actor spoke to the girls briefly and left his belongings on a table nearby.

Minutes after the girls left, Khan realised that his things were missing. He soon realised the girls were missing too. Khan's security guards advised him to file a complaint at the police station, but the actor refused and asked for his security staff to be beefed up instead.

Khan's sister, Arpita, underplayed the incident. "It's not easy to rob Salman. He has not visited a night club in recent times nor does he carry a wallet," she told this diarist.

Nandita Singga, film producer and director admitted that the incident occurred: "Yes Salman was robbed and had to increase his security from two to 14 men." On Friday, when the actor entered with his huge security contingent at a Juhu hotel for a film's promo, he did mention that Mumbai was not a safe city anymore and anything can happen anywhere. Maybe the Bandra incident did leave a bad taste, after all.
